We all know what Mercedes-Benz are capable of. We've been seeing for years their cars come and go and most of us know that they are very serious when designing a new car. They are focused on quality, efficiency and, of course, excellence. Shortly after they discontinued the SLS they released another supercar. The AMG GTS which to many people, is even better. Well, I'll let you decide for yourselves on that one.
The aforementioned GTS has a 4 litre bi-turbo V8 engine which produces 503bhp and 479lb ft of torque. It jumps to 60mph from rest in just 3.8 seconds and it has a top speed of 193mph. Therefore it's not a slow car at all and not only that it manages those 503 horses in the rear wheels, so it's also fun to drive as well. It has a 7 speed dual clutch gearbox, a 47-53% weight distribution and dynamic suspension so it can go on the track easily as well.
It has everything you would expect from Mercedes: the attention to detail, quality, some level of luxury and of course it's very refined. So it begs the question: "Everything sounds great but what's wrong with it?" Well, the answer is that sure it has its flaws, every car does, but overall, in my opinion, it's a fantastic car. It provides immense speed and still is comfortable. It has a lot of grip around corners and yet it's not as hard and stiff as other cars in its category. And for 97,000 pounds on the road, I think this is the best choice.
