2016 Pagani Huayra: The beast reincarnated

If you are a petrol-head you definitely know the "little" Italian car manufacturer Pagani and their current masterpiece, the Huayra. When it first came out a few years ago, it took the world by storm with its stunning looks, astonishing specification figures and, of course, the price. This aforementioned monster will be discontinued, Pagani says, but not completely. Even though the coupe version is done, Pagani will be releasing a roadster version of the car at the Geneva Motor Show in 2016. This causes a few concerns for car enthusiasts since it's a well known fact that when you take the roof of a car, it will have to be heavier to compensate the stability that the roof provided therefore it will loose in performance. But this is not the case with the Huayra. It's the exact opposite actually. Horacio Pagani, the founder of the company, said that the roadster version of the Huayra will actually be lighter by 100 pounds! But the magic doesn't end there for Mr. Pagani because his new car will also have 20 horsepower more than the coupe taking it to 750hp, even though it uses the same 6.0 litre, twin-turbo V12 AMG engine. To summarise: the new Huayra will be more powerful, lighter and will also be able to take the roof down. I don't know how they will do it be it sounds good to me! But unfortunately, as with the coupe version of this magnificent car, only 100 units will be available making it quite hard for you to get your hands on one of this even if you have the money. Don't forget that when the coupe version was released it had a 3.5 years waiting list.. This will also make it a very rare car and probably most of us will not get the chance to see it on the road in person..
