Bugatti is the company which defined the term "supercar" 10 years ago, with the first release of the Veyron in 2005. I'm certain that there is not a single petrol head in the world who doesn't know what the Veyron is and what it's capable of achieving. It was the most technologically sophisticated and amazingly engineered supercar. A true piece of art.

It broke the world record top speed of a production car by achieving a staggering 265.7 mph, which is logical if you consider the following numbers it put out: 0-60mph happened in just 2.5 seconds and 0-149mph in 9.8 seconds! And all these figures were courtesy of the 8.0 litre W16, 64 valve which was also turbocharged..4 times. This breathtaking quad-turbocharged engine produced 1001 bhp.

But these figures were not enough for the French. Oh, no. They then released the supersport, grandsport etc and each produced even more astronomical numbers than the previous one.

It's a well known fact that the Veyron was discontinued earlier this year. I know it's sad. But the good news is that Bugatti "unveiled" the replacement: the Bugatti Chiron.

Let's get straight to the point. The Chiron will be released in the Geneva Motor Show 2016 and will cost 1.6 million pounds. That's 650,000 pounds more than the Veyron in case you didn't know. But even if you can afford it, it's unlikely that you will be able to get yourself in Bugatti's prestigious waiting list. Unless of course you are famous. That always helps. But the main reason that it's hard for just anyone to get their hands on a Chiron is that only 500 will ever be made, 50 more than the Veyrons.

As you probably have guessed the Chiron will be an immensely powerful machine and will have a large amount of differences compared to the Veyron. First and foremost, it will produce a jaw-dropping 1480bhp and 1106lb ft of torque. 0-60 time will be around 2.3 seconds and the top speed will be around 288mph. And what produces this madness is of course the iconic 8.0 litre quad turbocharged W16 engine used in the Veyron. I know what you are thinking and no, I am not talking about a jet plane. This is an actual car. It will have the same carbon fibre body structure as the Veyron, the same independent suspension 4WD system. Despite the similarities it will have a reinforced and re-engineered 7 speed dual clutch gearbox which promises to handle this power and turn it into a one of a kind experience. Grip will be increased immensely as new tyres were developed just for this car to be able to handle the speed and torque that this beast can make. The exhaust had some development as well. It will now be integrated into a new end panel shaped like a calligraphic B.

Even though the final exterior design is not completely finalised, there are exterior differences as well, in comparison the Veyron, which range from the new high tech headlights, to the roof and the tail lights. But even so, the looks still scream BUGATTI. What do you think?
